In 2014 the annual National multi-cultural festival will mark its eighteenth birthday – a big milestone for Canberra’s biggest celebration of our city’s cultural diversity.
Already the excitement for next year’s festival is building across the town with community teams, performers, stallholders and therefore the corps turning their attention to however they'll contribute in Feb 2014.
Whether it’s through food, dance, fun, performances or cultural activities they'll all unite to waken life a spectacular event for everybody to relish.
I was delighted to receive the results of the 2013 National multi-cultural competition Spectator Survey. The special survey was conducted by the data and research team from the ACT Community Services directorate and polled quite 2000 people.
It found that quite $3.2 million was injected into the ACT economy over the festival’s three-day length in Feb, drawing 260,000 individuals into the center of Civic, 25,000 of these visiting the capital from interstate or overseas.
Another key finding, and one that we have a tendency to square measure fully delighted with, is that over one third – or thirty seven.3 per cent – of ACT households attended this year’s festival.  That’s a healthy increase on the 2012 figure of twenty seven.5 per cent. we are able to place this right down to a variety of things, together with our in progress promotional activities related to the competition, however most significantly it’s the popularity within the community that the festival may be a special event to be a locality of, and one that we are able to all be happy with.
Significantly, these survey results indicate a awfully bright future for the festival, due to the philosophical system communities WHO facilitate run it and wider community WHO embrace it.
As we have a tendency to mark Canberra’s Centenary in 2013 and switch our mind to our city’s next century, i'm assured that the National multi-cultural Festival’s role in our community as a celebration of all that it suggests that to be Australian and Canberran can still grow.
Bring on the National multi-cultural festival in Feb 2014!

BerberoSaharan.com will participate in that national festival to present the Algerian culture, handicrafts and food. The Algerian face will be honoured especially in bringing in the Berber ornaments, culture and some of the most popular food that we would like the Australians to taste while listening the soothing Berber music.

We are proud to be a part of this unique festival. Come along with your friends and families and let's spend a day together.
