It is made with passion and love to the culture. The artisans are only using pure products such as the red coral and pure silver. The most popular Kabyle Jewellery are handmade in the mountainous region of Kabylia called Ath yenni, where this art of jewellery making goes back to hundreds of years. However this beautiful Jewel in made in Tizi-ouzou city.
What is Kabyle Jewellery (Jewelry):
The Native people of North Africa are called Imazighen (Amazigh for singular), where we can find different dilects such as Kabyle, Tuareg, Chawi, Chelhi, Amazigh, Rifi, Mouzabit, etc. The Kabyles refers then to the Amazigh/Berber people of the Northern part of Algeria, they are specialised in a lot of handcrafted artifacts such as Pottery and ceramics, Berber Rugs, and Silver Jewellery with pure Mediterranean red coral for hundreds of years. They excel in it all in keeping its traditional aspect of it, they are never mass produced and they are never identical as they have always been handmade one by one.
